A Child’s First Dental Check-up
As your child begins to develop their first teeth, you’re probably have started to wonder what the normal protocol is in regards to having them visit the dentist for the first time. Our goal at Hines Little Smiles is to help you and your child develop healthy oral health habits early in life. The entire Hines Little Smiles team is happy to help you answer these questions and more. Being pediatric dentists in Columbus, OH, Dr. Hines, and the rest of her team have the experience and knowledge to help your child’s developing teeth grow in correctly and give them a dental home they look forward to visiting each time!
When Should You Bring Your Child Into Our Office For The First Time?
As a general rule of thumb, you should take your child in for their first visit on their first birthday or six months after their first tooth appears.
If your child was born with a natal tooth, you should schedule an appointment immediately to have mobility assessed. Natal teeth can potentially cause mouth sores and create nursing issues.
